Neurodiagnostic Services
EEG (Electroencephalogram)
Records brain's electrical activity to diagnose epilepsy, seizures, and other brain disorders. Duration: 30-60 minutes.
EMG (Electromyography)
Measures muscle response to nerve stimulation. Diagnoses muscle and nerve disorders. Duration: 30-60 minutes.
NCS (Nerve Conduction Study)
Measures how fast electrical signals move through nerves. Diagnoses nerve damage and neuropathy.

Test Preparation
Wash hair night before. Avoid oils/creams. Sleep-deprived EEG: sleep only 4-5 hours. Bring previous reports and medication list.
Wear loose clothing. Avoid lotions on arms/legs. Eat normal meals. Inform about blood thinners or pacemakers.
No special preparation. Bring glasses if you wear them. Test takes 30-45 minutes.

EEG, VEP, and BAER are completely painless. EMG involves a fine needle insertion which may cause mild, brief discomfort similar to an injection.
